Background

Origin & History

Dobričić is an ancient red grape from the island of Šolta, off the Dalmatian coast. It is now rare, because many vineyards there went wild after the Second World War. DNA profiling showed it to be one parent of Plavac Mali, the other being Zinfandel, known locally as Crljenak Kaštelanski.
