Rioja Alavesa hakkında
North of the Ebro river and administratively part of the Basque Country's Álava province, Rioja Alavesa is the smallest and one of the coolest of Rioja's three zones, its vineyards climbing the foothills of the Sierra de Cantabria. Small, often family-run plots and a cooler mesoclimate have made it a focus for growers chasing single-vineyard, terroir-driven wine over the traditional blended-Reserva model, alongside long-established cooperatives and estates.
